Lonely Monster | Graduation Work

The animation got an ''Official Selected'' by FIKE - Évora International Short Film Festival.

''Lonely Monster'' is a story about a monster living in the ruins on the mountain. He gazes at the town at the foot of the mountain every day and feels completely alone.

One day, he gains a magic power to collect souls into lanterns. He took the lanterns into the town, collected the souls of villagers into the lanterns, and then dragged the heavy lanterns back to the mountain.

What's the end of the monster will encounter?

The production period was Oct 2020 - Apr 2021.

Software used: Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Adobe After Effect

I made the whole animation by myself includes these steps:

• Pre-production: story, storyboard(text version), character & environment design

• Production: model, sculpt, texture, lighting, rigging, animating, rendering

• Post-production: sound design, background music design, video editing, titles
